How Can I book with you?
-You may submit an Inquiry form via email (Bronbronink@yahoo.com) My books are handled in 3 month intervals, so you may submit an inquiry when my books are open. I do not accept inquires while my booking cycle is closed.
*Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee a spot in my schedule for my current booking cycle. Priority will go to clients with existing projects and tattoos I'm most interested in taking on.
How Much will my Tattoo cost? How long will the tattoo take?
Both of these questions are hard to answer exactly.
For smaller tattoos I can give you a general estimated timeframe a piece will take, but there are many factors that determine the outcome/overall time.
For large projects that require multiple sessions/ high levels of detail I generally book half day/full day sessions at a discounted rate; this will help us work at a good pace to get a project done without having to rush or cut a session short.
We can schedule your appointment based on your budget for a given session if needed, be sure to share with me so we can discuss our options.
Every project is different, so we will work together to give you the best possible outcome.
I am not the fastest tattooer, but I do make sure that our time is well-spent to ensure the quality of work!
My rates are as follows;
HOURLY: $150/hr
HALF DAY: $600/4hrs
FULL DAY: $1200/8hrs
When will I see my design?
I DO NOT SEND OUT DESIGNS EARLY.
You will see the drawing at our scheduled appointment. I put all my effort into each project, and the time it takes for me to complete a given design varies. My process requires a lot of trust and creative freedom from each client, so when you come in I will have prepared a design that best fits both of our standards and will hold up well over time. Everything I create is done in my style, utilizing my skillset, so I do not recreate other styles/designs created by other artists.
Choosing me as your artist should mean that you like the work that I produce, and you're willing to trust the process. Your happiness is my priority!
The purpose of our consultations and emails is to give me as much information about the piece that you feel needs to be included(or not included). If alterations need to be made, will we utilize our time during the appointment to make sure the design is something we can both be proud of!
What if I need to show the design to my partner/spouse/friend beforehand?
This is an something to work out between the two of you prior to booking with me. If I book an appointment I consider it between myself and the person I book with. This is not an agreement to try and meet the expectations of a third person I haven’t met and/or consulted with prior. If you feel you cannot get your tattoo without first getting the ok from your partner, you can send a picture of the design once you come for your appointment, and we can use our time together to make any alterations if I feel they are reasonably doable.
What is the age requirement to get a tattoo from you?
You must be 18 years old to get a tattoo from me. No exceptions
Do you do Coverups?/Do you work on tattos started by other artists?
I do do my fair share of coverups! Although, Anime tattoos DO NOT generally work well as a coverup, unless the existing tattoo is small or a few given circumstances.
when you are looking to get an older tattoo covered up, there are many factors that determine our options. Unfortunately not everything will work as a coverup, but I will use my knowledge and experience to create a design that will get rid of the old tattoo properly. Coverups require a bit more planning and leniency so be sure to let me know what you are open to/ what we are working with.
Continuing a project started by another artist is another topic that requires more information. Given its a tattoo I can work with and I find the circumstances are reasonable, I am open to working on the tattoo.
How do I care for my new tattoo?
Your new tattoo will be bandaged. Your artist will tell you when to take the bandage off, depending on what we did that day and how we wrapped it. Once you take the bandage off, you will not re-bandage the tattoo. It is very important that you protect your new tattoo from dirt, chemicals, germs, and basically anything else you would not want to get in an open wound….because your tattoo is an open wound. You should wait to remove the bandage until you are in a clean place and can properly treat it. First, and any time your going to touch your healing tattoo, wash your hands.
Once you have removed the bandage wash the tattoo gently with your hands using a mild soap. The soap should be as free as possible of alcohol, dye, and fragrance. Do not use body wash. Rinse the tattoo thoroughly, and pat it dry with a paper towel or clean lint free cloth. Then, allow the tattoo to air dry for about 5 minutes before applying a lotion/moisturizer.
Apply a thin coat of hand lotion (use a non-scented, colorless lotion ( Aveeno, Lubriderm, Nivea, or HustleButter)) Blot off any excess lotion/moisturizer.
Do not re-bandage your tattoo.
Repeat the cleaning/moisturizing process 2-3 times daily until your tattoo is fully healed
Depending on various factors, your tattoo will begin to peel like a bad sunburn after 3 days to a week. This is totally normal and may look like little colored flakes. Do not pick at the skin flakes during this stage, doing so can result in color loss and damage.
Do not swim or take baths with a healing tattoo, it is also very important to avoid sun exposure.
Your tattoo is an open wound, and may be slightly red, sore, or swollen during the healing process. It is also normal for the tattoo to leak some fluid(it may appear to be ink leaking). Keeping it clean is the most important part, followed by the right amount of moisture. Make sure your hands are clean whenever you touch it, and try to wear loose fitting comfortable clothes. Some people may be allergic to certain ointments, and should be aware prior to use. Some things to watch for include “bubbling”, excess “oozing” and break outs around the area of the tattoo. These can be signs of too much moisture(too much ointment or not letting the tattoo dry enough before applying). They can also be signs of reactions to the ointment, soap your using, or other irritants getting into the tattoo. If this occurs, stop applying ointment all together and simply keep the tattoo clean, letting it heal on its own. When in doubt, see your artist or your doctor.
Your new tattoo WILL itch. it is important that you fight the urge to itch to ensure it heals properly.
How do I care for a tattoo using Tegaderm/healing patch?
Tegaderm is a sterile, breathable, waterproof, germ-proof barrier to protect your new tattoo. Leave the Tegaderm on for 3-4 DAYS - do not lift it, change it or remove it.
The Tegaderm will protect your tattoo from infection, abrasion, irritation and contamination while it is going through the most important part of its healing. It will also protect your clothes, sheets and loved ones from coming in contact with the excess ink, blood and fluid that are the normal by-products of healing a tattoo.
Although the tattoo is protected, you will want to avoid excess sweating under the bandage. Be sure not to bump or rub your new tattoo excessively, or do anything that will scrape or peel the covering off.
Tegaderm is waterproof, so you can shower normally with it on. try to avoid rubbing the bandage with body soaps/loofas, and do not soak the bandage under water. Do not swim or take baths until your tattoo is fully healed.
After 3-4 days, remove the Tegaderm by carefully peeling it back off of your skin. Do not quickly tear it off, as this can cause skin irritation. The easiest way to soften the adhesive is to stand in a hot shower for several minutes and remove the covering in the shower, using warm water to help remove the bandage. After removing the covering, rinse the tattoo thoroughly with warm water, then rinse several times using antibacterial soap and warm water. Gently work any excess material off the surface of your skin. Do not use any wash-cloths, sponges or brushes. After patting your tattoo with a clean towel, the skin should be shiny and dry. Apply a thin coat of hand lotion ( Aveeno, Lubriderm, Nivea, or HustleButter)) Blot off any excess lotion/moisturizer.
Repeat the cleaning/moisturizing process 2-3 times daily until your tattoo is fully healed!
